How & Where to Find Gold in Ecuador Basic Training Course
There is a tidal wave of interest in gold mining opportunities in Ecuador these days. Here at my house in Quito, I used to get a new visitor from somewhere in the world every month or two. Invariably, since I am pretty well-known for being familiar with gold mining opportunities in Ecuador, most of my new visitors were interested in knowing where the best gold is. Then, last year, I started receiving 2 or 3 new visitors each month. Once again, about 90% of my new friends were interested in knowing how to make a living by mining gold in Ecuador. And now, in the last 6 months, the flow of visitors has reached a peak of 1 or 2 new people per week! What is going on? Is there a new, mass migration of foreign gold prospectors to Ecuador? You know what, I think there is. Since there is so much interest in where to find gold in Ecuador, I have decided to publish some helpful information on where to go to find it. Most everyone who knows me well, knows that I have traveled all over Ecuador and have prospected for gold in almost every gold-bearing river there is. That is mostly true, but not quite 100%. Fortunately, I have done my homework over the years and I have identified about 85% of the gold-bearing streams and rivers in the country. To be perfectly honest, commercial gold values can be found in absolutely every single sector of Ecuador! I have never seen such a country so rich in gold deposits per square kilometer. So, taking all things into consideration, I have now decided to set up a professional gold consulting service in order to point individuals and companies in the right direction when they come to Ecuador. I have decided to begin with some basic, free information here on this page below and I have also created a very inexpensive e- information package about gold in Ecuador, complete with maps and geological information. My new e-information package is easily worth more than 10 times its temporary, special Introductory Price of only $9.90. As you can see on my Master Map below, I have divided the country into 6 different gold-bearing zones. There is gold to be found outside of these zones as well. These just happen to be 6 of the most highly gold-concentrated areas according to my studies and experience.
Master Gold Zone Map
As a small sample of some of the information contained in my inexpensive e-information package, I am going to share some FREE information with you about Zone #1 in the north western part of the country. And, unfortunately, I have to even break it down further than that because there is simply so much gold information to share, I really can’t fit it all in here.
Santiago River
As you can see on the Zone #1 Map, all of the jungle rivers marked in yellow are commercially gold-bearing. Do you realize that we are talking about hundreds and hundreds of kilometers of gold-bearing rivers on this map alone? Therefore, I will focus on only the small group of rivers at the very top of the map.
Top Half of Zone #1 Gold Map
There are 2 Primary Rivers included in the upper part of this zone, the Santiago and theCayapas. These rivers remain very under-explored to this day. Outsiders or gringos rarely go very far up either one of these rivers. A white man is still often looked at by the Natives as appearing to be an alien from another planet. Each of these rivers is mostly fed by ancient, gold-bearing river channels that run from SE to NW. Prospecting the dry, ancient, rich channels is beyond the scope of the information on this page. Suffice it to say, the entire area is still relatively virgin. The Cayapas River contains very interesting concentrations of the Platinum Family Groupmetals in addition to the gold. There are also some little-known, strategic, rare earth mineralspresent in the river. I know all of this due to a long-forgotten, confidential assay analysis that was done about 25 years ago. I still have a copy of it. Gold values on the Santiago and Cayapas Rivers are running between .25 and .5 grams per cubic meter all over on the surface. There are untold billions of cubic meters of auriferous gravels throughout the entire region. Also, the Province is named Esmeraldas because of the many reports of emeralds being found there over thousands of years. Most archaeological sites in the region are rich in hand-worked emeralds.
The Coast of Ecuador
Lastly, in this small, northwest section of Zone #1, we find some of the richest beach placersknown anywhere on the planet. As you study the map, you can appreciate how all of that alluvial river gold flows into the Pacific Ocean and then right back up on the beaches with the incoming crashing waves. This reminds me of what Nome, Alaska used to be like in the 1800’s.
This is the Site of a Rich "Beach Placer Deposit"
I have a rare, alluvial gold analysis map created back in the 1980's by government geologists. It shows beach placer gold values between .5 and 4 grams to the cubic meter right on the sandy surface. Now there is a great way for you to make living in Ecuador, right on the beach!
I have one last little secret to share with you. There are at least a dozen, little-known, treasure galleon wrecks along the coast in the Province of Esmeraldas. Every time there is a decently large storm, coins and artifacts wash up on the beach and the nearby rocks. There are old pirate treasure caches all over the place, just inland from the beaches too.

#2 Auca Gold This is the story of Ken Krippene and his gold explorations in the Ecuadorian Jungle Auca territory in the 1950s and early 1960’s. The story was originally published in Argosy Magazinein September of 1965. In the story, Ken mentions numerous gold-bearing rivers in the jungle containing untold volumes of gold-bearing sands and gravels. However, conditions with the Natives were too intense to be able to work freely then. Conditions have changed dramatically over the last few decades. I was able to freely enter the area and confirm that gold is indeed present in the quantities suggested by Mr. Krippene. I further discovered that the source of the gold is in ancient auriferous river channels that criss-cross through most of the Ecuadorian jungle. I think you’ll love this dramatic, true-life, gold prospecting story. It can also lead you to some very amazingly rich areas if you care to go there. I’ve been there and it is 100% real!

I would like to purchase your book (How and where to find Gold in Ecuador) but I am not sure about buy it through pay pal, they are not my pal. I tried to use them one time and the whole transaction got screwed up and was never resolved. I would like to know what the legal rules and laws are regarding gold prospecting and taking any of what I might find home with me? Charlie
ReplyDeleteI used to live in Ecuador and find it to be rather tragic that you would sell out such a beautiful country and foster the virtual raping of the land. The country and its resources belong to the indigenous people there and you have no right to rob them of it.
